Neumann Elektronik has many years of experience in the field of Selective sound reinforcement. More than 20 years ago, we used to control the loudspeakers on Deutsche Bahn by means of a tone call. But now the old technology is being replaced and we are moving on to the next generation IP basis.
In contrast to the conventional loudspeaker connection, the new IP active loudspeaker from Neumann Elektronik is only supplied with the necessary power via 2 wires. In addition, control and monitoring functions are transmitted via IP. The superior system of decentralised technology (DS-6) without "single point of failure" and Ethernet length restrictions for intercom systems is now also being implemented in decentralised public address systems.
Imagine you are planning a public address system for an industrial park with many different areas. With the new strategy, the individual IP active loudspeakers can be easily 2-wire cabling can be achieved. This makes the positioning of the loudspeakers on the factory premises much more flexible, as the cabling no longer has to run in a star configuration to the loudspeakers, even with individually controllable loudspeakers.
P network node. In addition, the Ethernet cabling between the individual DDLS-6 and the DS-6 network node is no longer required. This means that the ranges can be increased to 1000 metres. Overall, cable savings of up to 90% can be achieved, regardless of whether a tree, ring or other cabling structure is selected.
Another advantage here is the possibility of Dynamic groups and/or logical zones to form a dynamic group. By connecting decentralised amplifiers, each loudspeaker can now be addressed individually or added to any dynamic group. For the sound system in the industrial park, this means that each area can be individually sounded at any time. It is therefore no problem to adapt the sound system accordingly if a particular area changes location, without having to rewire.
In contrast to the old ringer technology, loudspeakers can now also be connected to the same wire pair. different texts or sounds at the same time at an adjusted volume.
Also completely new is the Passive and active monitoring and control of the individual loudspeakers. This means that every single IP active loudspeaker in the industrial park can be controlled and monitored centrally from a control centre. In addition, each individual loudspeaker actively sends error and status messages. This means, for example, that the volume of each IP active loudspeaker can be automatically and individually adjusted to the ambient volume at any time via the management system.
