The MTSD DS-6 IP42 Call Station is used in the decentralized communication system DS-6.

It allows direct calls to other call stations, make loudspeaker announcements and also programmable local functions.

A built-in display offers additional display options for status and error messages in plaintext. The call station has 16 keys. These can be extended up to 64 respectively 112 keys by suitable additional housing. Beside the destination keys, the call station has also a volume control as well as a speech memory. It meets all requirements of a dispatcher station. An optional USB stick that is inside the call station on the circuit board serves as speech memory. This USB stick provides standard tones and texts. Additionally, it can be loaded with customized announcements, tone sequences or other audio files which can be played back by pressing a key.

Normally, the call station is powered by Power over Ethernet. If a local power supply is required, several AC/ DC adapters are available (see Accessories).
